In November, 1998, we expanded our operations to meet increasing customer demand and moved to our new showroom and warehouse at 650 Mt. Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA. The new building, featuring an innovative office and furniture gallery, enables us to better service our customers and allows plenty of room for growth. Pencils provides office supplies, furniture, office panel systems, equipment and services to businesses on the Southcoast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We offer the most competitive prices available with total customer service and satisfaction. In addition to office products, Pencils offers an extensive list of printed items including letterhead, envelopes, business cards, rubber and self-inking stamps, specialty items and much more. Pencils
was established in April, 1989 by its president, Samuel G. Palestine
and its vice president and treasurer, Steven D. Mazza. Previously,
both were involved in the New Bedford business community; Sam in the
office supply industry as a sales representative for almost 10 years
and Steve in his family's manufacturing business for 15 years.
Pencils opened in 1989 with only one employee, a part-time driver.
Today, we have our own fleet of 6 trucks and 20 dedicated and knowledgeable
employees. April, 2006 marked our 17th Anniversary.
